As REALTORS, you ask us all the time how is the real estate market? Let the facts speak for how good of a market it is for sellers because we have more buyers in the market today. But, also it’s a great market for buyers because the interest rates are still low.
The number of homes coming on the market in April were less than a year ago. Our inventory is very low. The price of the homes is selling just 1.8% typically less than the list price. In the month of April, the number of accepted offers on homes was up 21.5% than a year ago. This causes our inventory to shrink even more. The actual homes that sold and changed hands in April was just slightly ahead of last year, but that is because of a slower winter than in the past.
