Five years ago it was very uncommon to have buyers test for high levels of radon. Today it’s a rare buyer that doesn’t. Smart sellers that recognize this should consider testing for radon when they list the house. If the level is high they may want to consider installing a mitigation system. At the very least they will know levels are high and take that into consideration when considering offers. It’s important to know up front that they may have to install a 1800 radon mitigation system.
