CENTURY 21 ProLink is pleased to announce the addition of Arlene Curry and Ellen Kaplan to the firm as Senior Broker Associates. The pair will specialize in commercial property sales and leasing in the Siouxland area. Kaplan and Curry selected CENTURY 21 ProLink following the recent closure of NAI LeGrand & Company.
Kaplan and Curry have facilitated numerous complex negotiations and closings, including the sale of the former Terra Centre, now Ho-Chunk Centre. Constructed in 1983, this iconic 10-story office building is located at the core of the downtown Sioux City business district.
Kaplan has over 22 years’ experience in the Siouxland commercial brokerage community. In the past six months, she has facilitated the sale of the 62,000 square foot former Blue Cross Blue Shield office building to UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s, acted as exclusive leasing agent for the landlord of Mayfair Center, a 100,000 square foot class A suburban office property, in its lease to Briar Cliff University, facilitated the lease of a new training center to MidAmerican Energy Company, renewed the lease of a 51,000 square foot call center to CenturyLink, and represented Cloverleaf Cold Storage in its lease of a new corporate headquarters in downtown Sioux City. Additional projects have included the representation of Stream and Alorica call centers, General Motors, Klinger Properties, Palmer Candy, Gerkin Windows and Doors, Hy-Vee, Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management, the Social Security Administration, and IRS, among many others.
Curry brings over three decades of experience within the Siouxland business community to CENTURY 21 ProLink. Curry’s sales and lease portfolio has an emphasis on industrial and office properties. She represented CF Industries in the site assembly for the expansion of its $1.9 billion expansion at Port Neal. Other industrial clients include Sioux Honey, Long Lines, Ltd., Electronic Engineering, and American Natural Soy. As exclusive leasing agent for the 171,000 square foot Ho-Chunk Centre, new leases were inked in 2014 for Boy’s Town, the Sioux City Community Schools, and Zeke’s Tree’s (fair trade store), among others.
“CENTURY 21 ProLink gives me the full suite of tools to support my clients,” said Arlene Curry. “A strong local commercial real estate presence coupled with the power of a global network of commercial real estate practitioners. That’s a combination no other company in town can offer.”
Curry is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) where she currently serves on the State Membership Committee. Additionally, Curry serves as a Board Member for Morningside College, and Women United. She is a past board member of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce; South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry; the Siouxland Foundation; and the Sioux Gateway Airport board.
“Providing the highest level of service to my clients’ complex transactions is something I take great pride in,” said Ellen Kaplan. “CENTURY 21 ProLink has a strong and continually evolving platform which will enable me to most effectively market Siouxland properties.”
Kaplan is the past Board President of Unity Point Health-St. Luke’s and Health Inc.; in her capacity as Board President she also served on the Board of Unity Point Health System. Previously, she served as a Board Member to the Siouxland Medical Education Foundation, Girls, Inc. of Sioux City, and the Boy Scouts Mid-America Council, among others.
“We are thrilled to have Ellen and Arlene join our team,” said Kyle Kelly of Broker/Owner of CENTURY 21 ProLink. “They are each dominant players in commercial real estate in the Sioux City metro market and will be a great addition to our growing commercial real estate division.” The addition of Curry and Kaplan makes CENTURY 21 ProLink the largest commercial real estate team in the region, joining Jennifer Rose-Bass, Sarah Espiritu, Don Kirchner, Todd Nashleanas, Shane VanDeSteeg, Derrick Wiebe, and Kyle Kelly.
